Battery Management
Not in the kit: main battery fuse (200A Class-T), fuse holders, busbars, battery and power cables, solar panels, critical-loads panel and transfer switch (for house backup) (sized to your installation). Connecting to a house panel needs a licensed electrician. The lithium batteries stop charging below about 41°F (5°C) – keep them warm in an unheated cabin. Mount the main fuse within 7 inches of the battery positive. Your installer confirms the final size. The MultiPlus 24/2000 is UL 458 listed (the standard for RVs and boats). Permit or inspection? Many inspectors require UL 1741 – ask us before you buy.
Add-ons and install parts
A generator input is wired through the MultiPlus, so the bank recharges properly instead of the generator merely powering the outlets while it runs.
Victron Lynx Distributor – fused distribution that bolts onto the Lynx Smart BMS, so each circuit has its own fuse.
MEGA fuses (packs of 5) – for the smaller circuits, one per circuit, sized from your wiring diagram.
Victron Orion-Tr 24/12-20A converter – this kit’s battery is 24V; add one to run 12V lights, a 12V fridge or pumps (up to 20 amps of 12V).
Battery cables are not sold in the shop – your wiring diagram gives the sizes.
